\textcolor

Command in package math.

Synopsis

\textcolor{color}{fragment}

Description

Display the formula fragment fragment in the color specified by color. The latter may
be a color definition in any format allowed by CSS. In particular, color names like "red",
"green" can be used. Another allowed format is "#RRGGBB" where RR, GG, BB are the hexadecimal
RGB values of the color in the range from 00 to FF. With the latter form, take care that the # is
escaped with a backslash, since # has a special meaning in Jmmtex (see second example).

Example

\begin{displaymath}
  x = \frac{\textcolor{blue}{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}}{2a}
\end{displaymath}

Result, as rendered by your browser

x=-b±b2-4ac2a
