\custom

Command in package simplemarkup.

Synopsis

\custom{name}{content}

Description

Inserts a "custom" element into the XML. The element has one attribute, "name", which gets its
value from the corresponding argument name. The second argument, content, becomes the content
if the element.

By default, the XML element is ignored when the final output (usually (X)HTML) is created from
the XML. Extension modules are free to use the \custom command to add custom information to
the XML. The information can be processed when the final output is created, for example by an
extension XSL stylesheet.
